Oxford Swim & Dive Shines at Oakland County Championship

The Oxford Girls Swim and Dive Team finished 13th out of 32 teams at the Oakland County Championships with 76 points, the highest in Oxford history. Points were scored in every event with season-beat times, school records, and state cuts. (Group Photo: front left is Cali Schnur and front right is Peyton Bailey. 200 Medley Relay: Ashlee Weltyk, Grace Charnstrom, Cali Schnur & Jenna Fistler went a school record, state qualifying time of 1:52.84 and came in 11th place in the County.

200 Freestyle: Junior Ashlee Weltyk came in 11th with a state qualifying, season-best time of 1:57.02.

50 Freestyle: Sophomore Jenna Fistler tied for 14th with a season-best, State qualifying time of 24.98.

Diving: Senior Keira Veltigian finished in 9th place with a score of 316 points. (Sorry! I don't have any pictures of Keira.)

100 Butterfly: Freshman Cali Schnur tied for 10th with a season-best, state qualifying time of 59.47.

100 Freestyle: Jenna Fistler took 7th with a season-best, state qualifying time of 53.93. (Pictured on block.)

200 Freestyle Relay: Cali Schnur, Peyton Bailey, Kaleigh Rogers, and Grace Charnstrom went a season-best time of 1:45.55 and placed 16th in the County.

100 Backstroke: Ashlee Weltyk came in 3rd in the County with a new school record and state qualifying time of 58.60. (Pictures on block with medal.)

400 Freestyle Relay: Grace Charnstrom, Cali Schnur, Jenna Fistler, and Ashlee Weltyk took 12th with a new school-record time of 3:44.40.
