Winter Meet The Teams Night Recap

Winter Meet The Teams Night Recap

The Oxford High School Athletic Department was excited to introduce our winter teams and get the Oxford Community pumped up for the up and coming season. Meet the Teams Night is a way to showcase the best athletes Oxford High School has to offer. Our Oxford Marching Band led all winter season high school athletes onto the field, followed by the playing of the Oxford fight song and National Anthem. Freshman, JV & Varsity coaches paraded their teams in front Oxford families and friends to talk about goals, past achievements and introduced each player. After each winter season athlete was acknowledged, Athletic Director Jordan Ackerman spoke about player and parent policies regarding social media, substance abuse, team rules and being ALL IN!

"To say I am excited about this year is an understatement. Our student athletes have put in the time this off season and you can see that they are focused and determined. This event provides us the opportunity to bring the community together and send our athletes off into the season motivated and excited. This is going to be a great season!" - Director of Athletics, Jordan Ackerman.

"Meet the Teams night was an evening full of Oxford spirit!  It was great to see so many of our winter competitors together supporting one another as they begin their seasons.  Mr. Ackerman did an outstanding job encompassing all of our winter competitors - ranging from the robotics fields to the ski slopes and everywhere in between; all ushered in by our award winning band.
I look forward to watching our Wildcats put their #ALLIN and strive for excellence in character, skill, and teamwork this season." - Superintendent, Tim Throne
