Oxford comes out with a win verse a new Framington OAA White competitor, 46-29. High scorers of the night were HaLaya Cato with 16 points, and Gabrielle Dinges and Aleah Dymond with 6 points a piece. The Wildcats continue to improve in the OAA White, now 2-0. They face Avondale next Thursday at home.
Oxford hands Lapeer another loss by 11. The Wildcats came out strong in the first quarter, outscoring Lapeer 13-10. HaLaya Cato put up 9 points and battled the defensive boards verse a taller Lapeer team. As the second quarter started the Wildcats couldn't capitalize on fast break opportunities, bringing the Lightning back in the game. The Wildcats started the third quarter strong from the 3 point line with big buckets by Makenzie Methner and Ashley Hershman. From there the Wildcats pushed a head for a comfortable lead the rest of the game. Coach Rachel Bryer said, "This was a great team win. Every time we hit the hardwood I see something new, something great, an improvement."
The Wildcats are now 4-2 in the season, and 2-0 in the OAA White.
