Oxford Cheer Takes First Place

The Oxford varsity cheer team won the OAA league championship on Saturday Feb 2.

This was the 3rd of three competitions to determine the champion. They beat the tough competition from Avondale to take the win.

The ladycats posted a 225.3 in round 1, a 218.18 in round 2 and a round 3 score of 287.7 for a total score of 731.18.

"We are so happy that our senior athletes got to bring home the OAA league championship. This team has worked incredibly hard to get this title. This team has an amazing bond and wants to win for each other." - Head Coach Alanna Weber

The freshmen team also took home first place Saturday with a season high score of 576.98 and our JV team took home second place with their best round 3 of the season. Our sub-varsity teams have been amazing this year. Every competition they have improved and have surpassed the goals that they have set for themselves, their team and our program as a whole.

Oxford is hosting a home meet Saturday Feb 9 at 9:00 am.
