Lady Wildcats Sweep Farmington Basketball
Tonight, Oxford welcomed Farmington to the Ian Smith Gymnasium for a Thursday night showdown. Oxford won the bout 43-27.

The Wildcats struggled to find an offensive groove in the first quarter. Oxford was confident beyond the arc, but failed to convert any shots from the field. Defense held on through the offensive lull to keep the Wildcats in the game. After exchanging leads in the first quarter, Oxford warmed up. Pulling down defensive and offensive boards alike and seeing success on the offensive end, the Wildcats began to pull away from the Falcons by the half.

Gabby Dinges opened up scoring in the second half with a three sparking a 5-0 run to begin a quiet third quarter for both team. In the fourth, the Falcons would go on a 9-0 run to close the lead the Wildcats had created. Their efforts surged too late; Oxford would break the run with a minute and a half of play remaining and would hold out for the win.

Halaya Cato finished with 15 points, 8 rebounds. Mackenzie Methner added 8 points. The Wildcats travel to Adams to face the Highlanders on Thursday.
