Despite seeing its four-run lead whittled down by the end, Oxford still held off Richmond for a 5-4 victory on Wednesday. Richmond scored three runs in the 7th inning in the failed comeback. In the first inning, The Cats got their offense started on a sacrifice fly by Evan Brunning Scoring Joey Miller. Garett Hiler took the win for The Cats. He lasted two innings, allowing one hit and zero runs while striking out one.
