Oxford Athletics Celebrates Daneen Kincaid on Administrative Professionals Day!

April 24th, 2019 celebrates Administrative Professionals Day and Oxford Athletics is proud to recognize our very own Daneen Kincaid

"I am so fortunate to be the Administrative Assistant in the Athletic Office for Oxford Schools. Watching our young student athletes succeed on and off the court is the best part of my job. We have an incredible administrative and coaching staff and I consider it a privilege to work with such an awesome team." said Oxford Athletics Office Manager Daneen Kincaid

With just a short walk down the hall from the Oxford High School main office, Daneen Kincaid officially joined the athletics staff as an administrative assistant on November 1, 2014. Kincaid joined Oxford Schools in 2012 as an assistant in the OHS counseling department. In her time on campus, Daneen has proven to be an extremely valuable asset to the teachers and students. Kincaid combines competency with OCS procedures and processes with an inherent love and involvement of athletics.

Kincaid plays in several community volleyball leagues and coaches the sport as well. She is the OHS JV volleyball coach in the fall and OMS volleyball coach in winter. In addition, she teaches the sport at community education clinics. Kincaid has also coached varsity girl's lacrosse and has served as a team manager for several youth sports teams.

A native of West Virginia, Daneen married her high school sweetheart, Jeff Kincaid and the couple has three adult children. Stephanie and Jordan attended West Virginia University while Tiffany attends Eastern Michigan University and participated on the Eagles' cross country team.

Daneen is proud to still travel "home" to West Virginia for the holidays. She and Jeff are true Mountaineers and continue to hold WVU season football tickets to this day.

We asked what makes Daneen so special, and below is what was given...

"Daneen Kincaid is the heart and soul of this athletic program," said Director of Athletics, Jordan Ackerman. "She has a genuine interest in putting students before any other task and we could not be more fortunate to have her on our team. Daneen is a leader in the state of Michigan when speaking of Athletic Office Managers. She speaks at the Athletic Director conference in Traverse City to Athletic Secretaries and is often the point of contact when other schools have questions. While we are thankful every day to have Daneen in our department, today we want to give an extra special thank you for her hard work and dedication to the student-athletes of Oxford Community Schools."

"I had the pleasure of meeting Daneen at the Michigan Individual State Wrestling Championship in 2018. After recognizing her leadership skills, I immediately could tell she was in a league of her own. Watching her present at the MIAAA Conference this past year proved her exceptionalism not only in the OAA, but in the entire state!" said Athletic Event Coordinator Bryan Brandeberry"I'm very privileged to work and learn from Daneen every day. Not only does she bring professionalism in her Office Manager role, but she also is one of Oxford's strongest coaches. Daneen leads by example, always showing that hard work, organization and compassion must be demonstrated each day. I'm very lucky to work beside her, but even more blessed to call her my friend."

"I am so glad Mrs. Kincaid is getting the recognition she deserves." said Varsity Softball Coach Kenny Allen "She is a wonderful person and an incredible asset for the Oxford High School Athletics programs. The Oxford Softball program cannot thank her enough for the time and effort she puts in to help us be the best we can be. She is an absolute force of athletic administration and we are lucky she calls Oxford home."

We thank Daneen Kincaid on in honor of #AdminstrativeProfessionalsDay and as always, Go Wildcats!
