JV Baseball Takes Down Stoney Creek At Home

Oxford defeated Stoney Creek 16-6 on Monday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at six with the Wildcats batting in the bottom of the fifth when Tony Hatzigeorgiou drew a walk, scoring one run.

Both offenses were strong at the plate as Oxford collected nine hits and Stoney Creek four in the high-scoring affair.

Nolan Kutchey was on the hill for the Wildcats. He lasted five innings, allowing four hits and six runs while striking out two. Silas VonAllmen came on for the last 2 innings to close out the win. Jack Butzu and Gavin Walters both managed multiple hits for Oxford. The offense had a lot of great at-bats, walking 15 times in the game! Sean Cooper walked 4 times in the game and Brendan Moore walked 3 times to account for almost half of the free passes.

The Wildcats are hoping to start a run here as we near the end of the season. They will take on Stoney Creek again Tuesday and Thursday this week before heading to Farmington for a tournament this Saturday.
