Oxford Baseball Against Rochester Adams Recap

Varsity Baseball:

Adams captures lead early to defeat Oxford 4-0 in the series opener. Evan Brunning had a great both on both sides of the ball. Leading the team with two doubles. On the mound Brunning went 4 1/3 innings striking out four. Joey Miller also had two hits on the day. 

Oxford will face Rochester Adams in game two of the series Tuesday at 4:30 pm at Adams High School.

JV Baseball:

Oxford defeated Adams 7-2 on Monday. The Wildcats opened up scoring in the first inning. Joe Roeher drew a walk, scoring one run before 2 more came across in the inning. Oxford tallied three more runs in the third inning, extending their lead to 6-1. The offensive firepower that inning was led by Mitchell Travis and Cannon Snow,  both driving in runs in the frame. Snow earned the victory on the mound for the Wildcats, going the distance as he surrendered just two runs on three hits over seven innings, striking out two and walking one. Josh Brown led the offensive attack for the day, going 3-3 at the plate. 

Oxford will once again take on Rochester Adams Tuesday, May 14. Come on out and support the team!
