2020 Spring Sports Tryout & Practice Information | Oxford High School

For those students wishing to participate in interscholastic athletics at Oxford High School,

the following requirements must be met:

  • REGISTER ON APPRYSE – https://app.appryse.com/enroll/ayudsc25
    • If you have already registered previous school year, you MUST verify accuracy of your info.
    • Download APPRYSE physical form BEFORE you go to your doctor appointment.
    • Sign up for your "sport-specific" tryout team
  • SPORT PHYSICALS ARE MANDATORY and must be uploaded to your student's Appryse account before participation in any practice or tryout. A current physical is one performed on or after April 15, 2019.
  • Students entering grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 must have passed at least six (6) classes in the previous semester and must have attained at least a 2.0 term GPA. 
  • Transfer, home school and virtual school students must be cleared to participate by the district athletic director.

Baseball (Varsity, JV, Freshman)

  • Preseason player meeting:  Tuesday, Feb 18th # 3:30 pm – OHS Media Center

 Golf (Boys Varsity, JV)

  • First practice:  March 9th @ 5:15 pm – Oxford High School - East Gym. 

Bring:  golf equipment (bag, clubs, shoes, glove)


Lacrosse (Boys Varsity, JV)

  • Player meeting:  Monday, Jan 27th – 6 pm – OHS Media Center
  • Tryouts:  March 9, 10 and 12th – 6:00 pm – Wildcat Stadium

Bring:  Cleats, gym shoes, helmet, stick & pads


Lacrosse (Girls Varsity, JV)

  • Pre-season Conditioning:  you MUST have a physical AND register in APPRYSE to participate in conditioning!

Wednesdays – 4:30-5:30 – meet outside weight room.  Bring tennis shoes & water!

  • Open Gyms:       Sundays – 11 am – 12 pm – Jan 26th and Feb 23rd.  Aux gym. 

Bring tennis shoes, stick, goggles and mouth guard.

  • Tryouts:  begin March 9  -
    • Wildcat Stadium (weather permitting) 7-9 pm.   If inclement weather:  6:15-7:45 OHS Gym

Bring full equipment:  stick, goggles, mouth guard, tennis shoes & cleats.


Soccer (Girls Varsity, JV)

  • Preseason Conditioning: Sundays @ 5 pm, ETS (Legacy Center)
  • Tryouts:  March 9, 10, 12th – 4-5:30 pm @ Ultimate Soccer. 

Drop only bus provided (leave OHS at 2:45)
Bring:  soccer cleats, ball, shin guards and water


Softball (Varsity, JV)

Bring  glove, bat, helmet, tennis shoes, NO Shorts

Tuesdays 3:30 – 4:30 (JP Piano)

Wednesdays 7-8 pm (OMS)

  • Tryouts:  - Bring glove, bat, helmet, tennis shoes, NO shorts

March 10, 7:15-9:15 OMS

March 11 7:15-9:15 OMS


Tennis (Girls Varsity, JV)

Team training:

  • February 25th, Tuesday and Thursday. 3:15-4:15 meeting in the cafeteria


Track & Field

  • Preseason conditioning:  Tue & Thu 7-8:30;  Wed 3-4:30 – OHS Weight Room
  • No Tryouts.   1st practice, Mon. March 9th, 3:15 @ East Gym

Bring appropriate running clothes for outside or inside practices.
