Boys' Basketball Downs Stoney Creek

OXFORD, Mich.- The Oxford High School Boys' Basketball team took the floor against a tough Stoney Creek High School team on Thursday, Jan. 11th.

The Wildcats raced out to an early 12-0 lead and never looked back as they defeated Rochester Stoney Creek 56-42.

Jimmy Claudio led the Wildcats with 16 points. Michael Raisch added 15 points and 8 rebounds and Trey Townsend scored a career-high 15 and pulled down 10 rebounds.

"We had great balance tonight," said Oxford Head Coach Steve Laidlaw. "Our kids have been committed to playing unselfish basketball and it was really on display tonight".

The Wildcats have now won five out of their last 6 games and improve to 5-3 overall and 2-1 in the OAA White.

They return to the court next Tuesday at Avondale in a pivotal league contest.
