Avondale high school has joined the OAA Bowling schools and the Wildcats traveled to Classic Lanes for the very first time Thursday night. Avondale has a good start with the number bowlers they have but they proved no match for the Oxford Bowlers.
The boys like the girls are in first place in the OAA Red division. Oxford is alone atop the standings with a 6 and 0 record. The cats bowled well in bake with solid games of 223 and 213. Then it was Dean Petersen that led the way for Oxford. His games of 247 and 202 featured 9 strikes in arrow and 13 out of 14 strikes over the 2 games. Christian Cartner 225,191 and Tanner Cartner 191,217 also had very good performances.
The team competes in the Bowl Swami tournament on Saturday at Imperial Lanes. It also hosts the Royal Oak team on Monday.
