Lady Cats Fall Short in Battle vs. OAA Champs

OXFORD, Mich.- The Oxford Lady Wildcats lost tonight (2/22) versus Groves High School, 40-55. The Wildcats played a tough game, battling it out until the end.

Forward Lauren Methner had 12 points, 8 rebounds, and created back-to-back turn overs in the press for the Wildcats.

Coach Bryer says, "I'm excited to see what's next for Lauren! She has lead by example all year, and continues to improve daily."

Mackenzie Methner had 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 steals, and HaLaya Cato had 8 points.

"My team is selfless and play as one. This is a large part of why I'm sad to see these four seniors go (Bean, Clark, Graves, and Haddan)," said coach Bryer. "My starting guard Kaitlyn Bean even said she can't believe its over."

This was the Lady Cats last regular season home game. This week they travel to Clarkston for districts.

"I'm going to miss these seniors, but I can't wait to see them succeed off the court. That's where it counts the most."
